As we continue in the journey ahead we must take the time to secure our treasure, the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle, by investing in restoring it for generations to come. For the past 30 years the present Shrine has been the spiritual home of millions of pilgrims who encounter the living Christ as they visit His Mother. The devotion for Our Lady of San Juan del Valle continues to grow as we experience her unconditional love towards all of her children.

Catwalk
A catwalk is an engineered narrow platform built to provide a cost-effective solution for the access to parts of a structure otherwise difficult to reach or to walk on. The building of a catwalk above the Basilica's ceiling will facilitate the lighting and sound maintenance. Most important this catwalk will ensure the safety of any individual who has to do any maintenance work in the ceiling.

Limestone
After 30 years since the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle was built, the structure has began to reflect its service to the millions of pilgrims who have visited our Lady. The limestone that dresses our structure has began to stain and erode. We see the immediate need to preserve and maintain it.

Bell Towers
Bell towers are a common element of religious architecture worldwide and are generally viewed as attempts to reach skyward toward Heavens and the Divine. The sound of the bells is the loud calling to pray the liturgy here at the Basilica. The Basilica bells hold an enormous historical value since they once rang on the tower of the old shrine back in 1954. It is our duty to restore the bells and to set them back to the traditional swinging mechanism to call our people into prayer.

Finishing Accents
The three great brass covered doors with the theological virtues: faith, hope and charity have welcomed millions of pilgrims for the past 30 years. It is our responsibility to restore not only these doors but all the doors in the Basilica so that they can continue to welcome pilgrims for many years to come.

Efficiency
We as a Church are committed to environmental stewardship. The Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle wants to adopt the new technology that is designed to conserve energy. We are in great need of upgrading our lighting and repairing our air control system. Join us in being responsible for our environment and support us in this initiative.

Public Facilities
Our Lady of San Juan del Valle as a loving mother and powerful intercessor continues attracting more of her children to encounter Christ here at the Basilica. The increase in number of pilgrims surpass our ability to provide with sufficient public facilities. We are in great need to repair what we currently have and build additional facilities.

Access Ramps
Here at the Basilica our goal is to serve our pilgrims and provide them with safety, especially those with most vulnerable needs. We are in need of building handicap ramps and an emergency vehicle access ramp.

Liturgical Needs
Liturgical supplies such as vestments, chalices, patens, linens, and hosts are essential for Eucharistic celebrations and special liturgies. To accommodate the 20,000 pilgrims who visit each week we have responsibility to maintain a healthy inventory of these supplies at all times.
