A Tribute to Our Fathers | Un Tributo a Nuestros Padres
At the Basilica, we will offer a nine-day novena of Masses to honor all fathers—biological, adoptive, and spiritual. As Fr. Jorge A. Gómez, Rector of the Basilica, reminds us, fathers play a unique and divine role in the lives of their children, guiding them in faith, love, and strength.
This novena is a time for:
- Reflection: How have your father’s actions shaped your life?
- Reconciliation: If your father is living, reach out to him. If he has passed, offer a Mass or prayer in his memory.
- Honor: Celebrate the gift of fatherhood by placing their names at the altar.
Whether your father is living or deceased, this novena allows us to entrust their souls to the loving care of our Heavenly Father.
Prayer for Fathers | Oración para los Padres
God, Our Father and generous Creator, we implore Your abundant blessing on Dads and Grandfathers. With the example of Saint Joseph, may they be inspired to lead their children in holiness and love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
