Oracion a san Jose, rezada por el Papa Francisco
Glorioso patriarca san Jose, cuyo poder sabe hacer posibles las
cosas imposibles, ven en mi ayuda en estos momentos de
angustia y dificultad.
Toma bajo tu protecci6n las situaciones tan graves y difíciles
que te confió, para que tengan una buena soluci6n.
Mi amado Padre, toda mi confianza:esta puesta en ti.
Que no se diga que te haya invocado en vano y, como puedes
hacer todo con Jesus y Marfa, muestrame que tu bondad es tan
grande como tu poder.

Prayer to Saint Joseph, prayed by Pope Francis
Glorious Patriarch Saint Joseph, whose power makes the
impossible possible, come to my aid in these times of anguish
and difficulty.
Take under your protection the serious and troubling situations
that I commend to you, that they may have a happy outcome.
My beloved father, all my trust is in you. Let it not be said that
I invoked you in vain, and since you can do everything with Jesus
and Mary, show me that your goodness is as great as your power.
Amen.
Saint Joseph Obedient and Faithful,
“Joseph, Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you.” (Mt 2:14). Joseph listened to God’s voice and obeyed what God asked of him through the Angel. Joseph saved the Son of God from Herod’s malicious intentions of killing the baby Jesus. Joseph remained faithful to his wife, Mary and in that way saved her from the mob that would stone her to death for being pregnant before being married.
Sometimes, I wonder how many families would be saved if the husband would remain faithful to their marriage vows and how many children would be happier if the father would be obedient to God in the same way Saint Joseph was.
The other virtue that is needed in most of us men is docility to God’s will. Very often as men we think we know more than God and rely on our own experience and knowledge that we forget to ask God what he wants from us or how he wants us to act in specific circumstances. Let us pray to Saint Joseph to intercede for us so we can be more obedient, faithful, and docile to God’s will.
Here at the Basilica, we offer a novena of masses in honor of Saint Joseph. Send us the names of your loved ones that you want us to pray for. San José Obediente y Fiel,
“José, levántate, toma al niño y a su madre, huye a Egipto y quédate ahí hasta que yo te diga (Mt 2:13). José escuchó la voz de Dios y obedeció lo que le pedía por medio del ángel. José rescató al Hijo de Dios de las garras de Herodes que quería asesinar al Niño Dios. José permaneció fiel a su esposa María y
de esa forma la salvó de la muchedumbre que la debía apedrear hasta morir por estar embarazada antes de casarse.
¡Algunas veces me pongo a pensar y me pregunto cuántas familias estarían a salvo si el esposo permaneciera fiel a sus promesas matrimoniales! ¡cuántos niños serían felices si los papás fueran obedientes a Dios de la misma manera que san José lo fue!
La otra virtud que es necesaria in la mayoría de nosotros los hombres es la docilidad a la voluntad de Dios. La mayoría de las veces pensamos saber mas que Dios y dependemos en nuestro conocimiento y experiencia que se nos olvida consultar con Dios qué es lo que quiere que hagamos o cómo debemos actuar en circunstancias específicas de la vida.
Oremos a san José para que interceda por nosotros y seamos más obedientes, más fieles y dóciles a la voluntad de Dios. En la Basílica ofrecemos una novena de Misas en honor a san José. Envíennos los nombres de sus seres queridos que quiera que incluyamos en la novena de Misas para orar por ellos.
