Saint Peter was a Jewish fisherman born in Bethsaida, called by Jesus to be the first among the apostles. He became the first Pope of our church and died in Rome under Emperor Nero. His human remains were found under the altar of Saint Peter’s Basilica. We hold the primacy of Peter, and he is the first among many, not one among many.

San Pedro fue un pescador judío nacido en Betsaida. Él fue llamado por Jesús para ser el primero entre los apóstoles.
